One of the most unrecognized actresses of the ’40s is Ingrid Bergman. Hailing from Sweden she was known for her unique roles she portrayed in her films. Recently her 104th birthday and 37th year of demise were remembered and her contribution to the movie industry was cherished.
Presenting the best of her roles in the silver screen of Hollywood Bergman was garnered with 3 Oscars, 2 Emmy Award, 1 Tony Award and 4 Golden Globes and BAFTA.
This Sweden beauty made her debut in the movie Intermezzo in 1939 and from there she went on to do more than 50 movies and successful TV series prior to becoming a victim of breast cancer.
Some of her popular movies are Casablanca (1942), For Whom the Bell Tolls (1943), Notorious (1946), Joan of Arc (1948) and Anastasia (1956) and so on. Through her portrayals were applauded and well-received amidst fans she did limited films as Hollywood failed to explore her talent and skills in the right way.
After years of acting, she passed away in the year 1982 on 29th August in Chelsea, London. Though it been years since she died her legacy is still remembered till today.
