In an unexpected event, a substitute teacher in a New York City school allegedly kicked a 12-year-old student in the chest. He is reportedly gone mad when the child blocked his classmate from entering the classroom. He was arrested for assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child below 17-year-old. by the New York Police Department, an hour later the event and the preliminary investigation revealed that the detained was Roger Jassie, 57, a teacher who was employed as a 7th-grade math teacher before 3 months.
The injured student was taken to a nearby Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn for treatment. According to the WABC, though he was not seriously injured, he is being treated after he complained of severe pain.
“The safety of our students is our top priority and this substitute teacher was immediately suspended without pay when we were made aware of this concerning allegation,” said the New York Police Department
However, the management of the school which currently teacher more than 173 students did not respond to any comment. While the experts say that the teacher had broken some serious laws of code of conduct.
According to DoE’s 2019 code of conduct, “School culture and climate have a profound impact on students’ academic progress and their relationships with peers and adults. Each school is expected to promote a positive school culture that provides students with a supportive environment.”
