Paramount Pictures has roped in Jonathan Entwistle, best known for creating Netflix series The End of the F—ing World, to recreate a new version of the colorful Power Rangers ensemble.
Earlier in 2017, Lionsgate tried reviving the franchise shifting from a kid-friendly theme to a young adult movie. The movie titled Power Rangers did pretty awful making only $142 million worldwide on a budget of around $100 million.
It was so bad that the plans of sequels to the movie were scrapped. For good.
We now need to wait and see if Paramount can successfully pull off this project which is famous among 90s kids, having aired on Fox Kids and Disney channels. We’re hoping that Jonathan Entwistle can make the series relatable to modern kids and cater to the new age.
