Police arrested a woman in Indianapolis who allegedly tossed her toddler into the running washing machine. According to cops, Heather Oliver was charged with neglect after her son ended up in a washing machine. However, the woman claims innocent and that she saw her son in bed so went to the kitchen for some milk. She then claimed she heard the washing machine fill with water and saw the five-year-old inside the machine.
She has been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily harm over the incident which occurred on August 16.
Nurses told cops that the child was in and out of consciousness, and also had several bruises on his body and scratches to his arms.
He was ‘somewhat dry with wet underwear,’ according to documents seen by the outlet.
He was first taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital and later to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis for an examination.
