“I felt like a punk,” David Roback said in 1990, “but when I picked up the guitar and started playing it, the music didn’t come out sounding punk. It was something else.” My obituary of the great LA-born producer-guitarist. https://t.co/a8BRqK8CDQ

So Tonight That I Might See is such a great record and I once fell in love to (to, not with, although also with) Fade Into You. RIP David Roback. https://t.co/Vi3LrZRqMC pic.twitter.com/FYXIb4ptSa

I always loved his music pic.twitter.com/UrADoJ2ds3— J Mascis (@jmascis) February 26, 2020
This is awful. From Rain Parade to Clay Allison to Rainy Day to Opal to Mazzy Star, I’ve loved everything he’s ever been a part of. Have you ever listened to Opal’s ‘Happy Nightmare Baby’ LP? You should. RIP David Roback. https://t.co/6iMTrvH2jk
