Called off all events, shows and holiday trips due to the pandemic crisis! Well, this has pushed people to lock themselves home.

When celebs and leaders are speaking on the crisis it is Author Celeste Headlee who has joined the race. In her latest book “Do nothing” she has emphasized taking breaks from “overtime works, too much of doing and underlining.”

Rather she advises to turn the leisure time to something productive and spend time with the loved ones and to mend relationships.

As we are continuously keeping ourselves busy and working towards progress had failed to show “expressions of our basic humanity,” like spending some time with family, talking with your next door, and enhancing personal interests.

When a source contacted Celeste for a quick conversation on the cons of busy lifestyle and other major issues, few questions were asked and they are:

“Q: What do you say to all the kids (and adults) who are complaining about being bored?

A: Frankly, that is music to my ears. When I think about how many times I complained to my mother about being bored and she threw me outside the house and told me to find something to do. And that’s not true anymore. We’ve engineered our way out of boredom. We just hand the kids a tablet, or a [Nintendo] Switch or something.

Q: So being bored during quarantine can be a good thing?

A: There is the side of this which is serious, and tragic and life-threatening. But for those of us who are keeping others safe by staying at home, there might be some benefits. We are forced to slow down now. And we are forced to find things to do that are unconnected to our jobs.

Q: Is that a plus?

A: I think that a lot of people have started to realize how much of their life was wrapped up in their job, how much of their identity was wrapped up in their job. That may be a real eye-opener for people. That may not be what you wanted _ to have your whole life be structured around going to work. And so maybe this is an opportunity.”
