The trending conspiracy theories of the current times have been on various levels surrounding the origin of coronavirus. With the Trump administration going overdrive on the narrative lending more than the expected credibility to these, there are more likely reasons for conspiracy theory based movies to not be made on the coronavirus.

  • Overkill on the response – Lack of official response usually provided the needed ambiguity firepower for the movie producers to milk completely, however here almost every press conference seems to have this topic as a feature.
  • Vagueness on responsibility – The Trump administration ensured there is no vagueness to milk by making directed attacks in China.
