Its Beyonce and Rihanna who have come out in support for George Floyd post his demise last week after his cruel arrest.
Floyd a defenseless and handcuffed African American passed away after he was arrested and a video was leaked where a police officer Derek Chauvin was seen kneeling on his neck as he wept saying: ‘I can’t breathe!’
4 cops who were part of this were dismissed and Derek was taken under custody on Friday for 3rd-degree slaughter and alleged for murdering George without former intent.
Posting a touching video on Instagram, Beyonce pleaded with her followers “not to ‘normalize’ on what had occurred and should clutch people for their deeds.
She said: “We need justice for George Floyd,’ the 38-year-old began.” “We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain.”
“I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, black, brown, or anything in between, I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now.”
“No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away.”
“George is all of our family in humanity. He’s family because he’s a fellow American,” she added.
“There have been too many times that we’ve seen these violent killings and no consequences. Yes, someone has been charged but justice is far from being achieved. “
“Please sign the petition and continue to pray for peace, compassion, and healing for our country. Thank you so much.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna posted a long message on her social media stating she is “pushed” and is with a heavy heart on the incident.
Sharing a pic of George the singer has been absent from social media as she couldn’t bear the incident.
She told her followers: “For the last few days, the magnitude of the devastation, anger, the sadness I’ve felt has been overwhelming, to say the least!”
“Watching my people get murdered and lynched day after day pushed me to a heavy place in my heart! To the point of staying away from socials, just to avoid hearing the blood-curdling agony in George Floyd’s voice again, begging over and over for his life!!!”
“The look of enticement, the pure joy and climax on the face of this bigot, murderer, thug, pig, bum, Derek Chauvin, haunts me!!”
