For the past few years, Kevin Spacey had quite a successful career.
With his first debut in 1986 in Broadway alongside Jack Lemmon in Eugene O’ Neill’s stage show “A Long Day’s Journey into Night” till the 2017 5th season of House of Cards,” he had etched a niche for himself in the entertainment world.
Recognized as one of the renowned stars in his era, he has recipients of Tony Award Neil Simon’s “Lost in Yonkers,” 1991, and Best Supporting at the Oscars for delivering an inspiring performance in the 1995 “The Usual Suspects.”
Further, he received yet another Best Actor academy award for the movie “American Beauty” opposite Mena Suvaro who portrays as his daughter’s friend.
He went on to grab some of the prestigious awards like Emmys, Golden Globes, Oscars for his Netflix series “House of Cards” and positions at the London theatre as the artistic director of the Old Vic for 11 years which is a non-profit organization.
But sadly after fall in 2017 speculations were rife that Kevin was involved in sexual assaults. His career witnessed a great downfall when “Star Trek: Discovery” star Anthony Rapp stated that when he was 14 yr old in 1986, Spacey who was then 26 yr old went over him in a bedpost a party and tried making out with him.
To this Kevin responded back in his twitter stating he was “beyond horrified” by the tale but can’t remember the supposed incident. He also went on to ask sorry for “what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.”
Later his statement as being gay created a stir and flooded with allegations from LGBTQ for combining accusations related to homosexuality.
On the same day, Robert Cavazos shared on his Facebook that he went through a “couple of unpleasant encounters” with Spacey when they were together performing at the Old Vic.
Due to this, he had been cut off by Netflix and from other collaborations, he was associated with it.
The International Academy has announced that in light of recent events it will not honor Kevin Spacey with the 2017 Intl Emmy Founders Award
