The star who was first seen on TV back in 2005 will be back again in a 12 episode series of Doctor which will be premiered next year.

‘The Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ drama will be dropped in 4 major ways as CD, Vinyl, and also in the digital platform.

Speaking on this Chris said: ‘After 15 years, it will be exciting to revisit the Ninth Doctor’s world, bringing back to life a character I love playing.’

Though his character played in 2005 was much appreciated he exited from the series and the role was portrayed by David Tennant.

During those days it created hype on the actor’s exit but when he had a chat with Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo in their BBC Radio 2 in 2018 he said he was silenced by the channel.

He continued saying: ‘I made an agreement I would say nothing about my departure,’ ‘And I honored that because I was looking after the production.’

Chris also added to a source back then that ‘he had enough.’

Other cast details for the series are yet to be announced.

Talking about Christopher doing his role Big Finish Chairperson Jason Haigh said: ‘I first talked to Christopher about returning to the role of the Doctor at a fan convention in February this year.’

‘Christopher said he was enjoying meeting the fans and was pleased that his Doctor was remembered so fondly.’

‘I am so pleased that Christopher has decided to return to the role with us – and I’m excited to welcome him to the Big Finish family as we discover the new adventures of the Ninth Doctor.’

The first part of the series will be premiered from May 2021.
