The popular actor from EastEnders Adam Woodyatt splits from his wife post 22 years of blissful marriage and the news was officially confirmed by a rep from the series today.
The star that portrays Ian Beale tied the knot with dancer Beverley in 1998 and shares 2 kids together.
A representative from the BBC series said they separated in 2019.
The statement stated: “Beverley and Adam separated in August 2019 and we ask that the family’s privacy is respected.”
Further, it was also stated that the 52 yr old has been on a break from the long-running soap.
The series is halted till September 7th due to the ongoing pandemic, but the production is on from June.
Reports stated that: “Beverley was naturally very upset, as anybody would be in the circumstances, but these things happen and it’s a straightforward separation.”
“Nobody plans for these things and divorce is a difficult thing to get your head around but they have dealt with it quietly for several months and are now telling friends so it’s less of a secret.”
“They still get on well, and are keen to make sure they stay that way for the sake of their children – even though they are now grown up.”
The pair has daughter Jessica 27 and son Samuel 23.
But the news is yet to get confirmed as the spokesperson from Adam’s side has refused to respond.
