The former president’s daughter Jenna Bush has shared quite a lot of secrets about her motherhood in her latest book especially about her third stating it as “immaculate conception.”
Jenna also pens of having a rare feeling like “survivor’s guilt” as she thought how her twin Barbara Pierce and her fellow actor Hoda Kotb who insisted adoption would react to her pregnancy news.
“Henry and I had no plans to have more children. It wasn’t even physically likely,” Bush Hager states in her memoir ‘Everything Beautiful in Its Time: Seasons of Love and Loss, which was out on Tuesday.
“Infertility runs in my family, and it was not easy to conceive Poppy. Now I was three years older, two years into what’s termed — rather insultingly, I’ve always thought — advanced maternal age. What’s more, Henry and I, like many parents of young children, struggle to find time to be … intimate.”
She went on to add: “If we were to have another baby, it would have to be an immaculate conception.”
The 38 yr old has daughters Poppy Louise 4, Margaret “Mila” Laura 7 with husband Henry Hager. Their son Henry “Hal” Harold was born in August 2019.
To her amazement, she was suspecting her pregnancy with Hal the time when she was urged to replace Kathie Lee Gifford on ‘Today Show.’ Though she was excited about the offer she was uncertain as she has to apply for maternity holidays that fall. “I didn’t think it would change things,” Bush Hager writes. “I couldn’t imagine them taking the offer back. But what if they did?”
In spite of her anxiety, she accepted the offer but was nervous as she was beginning a new journey.
