Olivia Rodrigo’s fans are disappointed after receiving the mech that they ordered from Rodrigo’s website in May. Olivia Rodrigo’s album dropped in May 2021 and earned a massive fan following and all these fans have excitedly rushed to Rodrigo’s website and ordered many things. Now fans are not happy with the items they received and feel that they are of “low-quality” and “cheap” quality. People are expressing their disappointment through social media.
The 18-year old singer released her merchandise that includes tank tops, T-shirts, bracelets, hats to promote her debut album Sour. The album received the biggest openings whereas the merchandise was an utmost failure. Many customers shared their frustrations with the merch products they received on social media as photos and videos. The customers compared the items depicted online and in-person; they also say that the items they received didn’t do justice to what they saw on the website. Some of them posted about it on TikTok to show the world how the merchandise looked in person.
Customers complained that the beads which were supposed to spell “sour” spelled “sur” and the crop top was the size of a T-shirt. Ceremony of Roses is the company behind the products. The spokesperson of the company said “We are committed to providing the highest quality goods and services to Olivia’s fans and are aware of issues with a few of the products. We are working to resolve these issues moving forward and in the meantime, granting refunds or exchanges to anyone affected.” Despite many being disappointed with the merchandise, there are still some fans who are willing to buy it again if the quality improves.
