A professional in the Strictly Come Dancing show has tested positive for COVID-19! The dancer was forced to isolate, and the celebrity they were paired with will now have been given a new pair.
Strictly Come Dancing, popularly known as Strictly, is a famous British television dance contest. With the new season of Strictly about to launch, a professional tested positive for covid. But fortunately, the professional partner tested negative. The name of the professional is unknown, but he is now in isolation for 10 days. An insider from the show says that “This is proving to be a nightmare for producers of the show, just as they prepare to bring back Strictly for its first full series since the Covid pandemic hit Britain.” A spokesperson says this issue didn’t affect the recording of the launch show, and he also added that they are strictly following government guidelines to ensure the safety of all on the show.
The previous year, Nicola Adams and Katya Jones were forced to withdraw from the show when the latter contracted Covid. To avoid and minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission, Strictly dancers all stay at a hotel in London. Fans, friends, and family of the celebrity contestants can watch the show live in the Elstree studios but only in small numbers. The producers also put a kissing ban on contestants in a bid to stop Covid from wreaking havoc. The first live show of Strictly Come Dancing will kick off on September 25.
