The former President Donald Trump wants to stand up against the tyranny of the ‘Big Tech,’ and he plans to do it by introducing a new social media platform. Find what his Wednesday announcement was about now.
Trump is creating his social media app. The app will be launched by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which will list with NASDAQ following a merger with the Digital World Acquisition Group. The Securities Exchange Board commissioner has not been officially informed yet. Trump will chair TMTG, and its registered address at present is his private membership club Mar-A-Lago.
The merger is valued at $1.7 billion, said the official spokesperson Liz Harrington. The app will be named ‘TRUTH Social,’ and it is the first project of TMTG. The app’s “mission is to create a rival to the liberal media consortium”. He also claimed that “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced.”
The release informed that the app is available for preorder on the Apple store. A national rollout is expected during the first quarter of 2022. Guests will be able to access the Beta version from November 2021. It also intends to feature a subscription video-on-demand service that will provide users with “non-woke” entertainment programming, news, and podcasts.
The terms and conditions for email subscriptions and online registrations require individuals to sign away their class of action filing rights.
Trump was banned from several social media platforms after he made notorious posts relating to the 6th January riots at the United States Capitol Building. His latest announcement about a new social media has not surprised anyone due to this incident.
