The former President Obama adviser revealed about his engagement who recently came out as gay. The actor told PEOPLE that he wanted to confess his love story to readers through his new book You Can’t Be Serious.
In an interview published in PEOPLE this Sunday, Penn said, “I discovered my sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people.” “There’s no timeline on this stuff. People figure their shit out at different times in their lives, so I’m glad I did when I did.”
The 44-year-old star became famous for his contributions in the “Harold & Kumar” movies, revealing his sexuality to the world for the first time. People who follow him may know that he is a well-known actor on Television and films, including House, Designated Survivor, the Harold, and the Kumar film franchise. He served as an adviser in the White House for the Obama administration. The Indian-American actor was listed on PEOPLE magazine’s top eligible bachelors. He spoke about his engagement in the new book. His partner Josh and Penn have been in a relationship for 11 years.
He further spoke about his relationship with Josh, “I’ve always been very public with everybody I’ve personally interacted with. Whether it’s somebody that I meet at a bar, if Josh and I are out, or we’re talking to friends,” Penn told PEOPLE. “I’m excited to share our relationship with readers. But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother, four people I’m closest to in the family, are fairly quiet. They don’t love attention and shy away from the limelight.”
