The once ‘Good Morning America’ (GMA) anchors, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, were seen embracing each other in Los Angeles on Friday just hours after they were released from the show officially.
Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45, were seen very much affectionate while having a casual outing on the sidewalks. Amy even leaped into Holmes’ arms and wrapped her legs around his waist at one point.
ABC news took both Holmes and Amy off the air with a formal announcement, two months after their romantic relationship was revealed.
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J.Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from our firm,” ABC news announced in a statement.
It was reported that the duo negotiated with ABC before their exits. President Kim Godwin of the News channel told staff, “After a lot of thought, I am taking Amy and T.J. off the air as we figure this out,” and added that the decision came after much consideration.
T.J. Holmes and his wife will soon get divorced
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are allegedly dating
The Television personality T.J. Holmes and his wife Marilee Fiebig are divorced after 12 years of their married life, after a rumor that said the ‘Good Morning America’ host is dating his co-anchor, Amy Robach.
Reports said that T.J. filed for divorce on December 28, Wednesday. The divorce proceedings started after Holmes was seen hanging out with Amy Robach and some of their time together looked like dating.
In addition, the anchor didn’t wear his wedding ring on air on one of the episodes of the GMA. This triggered many to speculate T.J. Holmes has separated from his wife, Marilee.
After the scandal broke widely, Amy’s husband Andrew Shue also deleted some Instagram photos which he took with his wife. His reaction further added fuel to the fire.
According to sources, both Holmes and Amy got separated from their spouses. The ABC news channel has removed both anchors temporarily from hosting the GMA show. Though the pair didn’t break any regulations of the company, the scandal is causing “an internal and external distraction,” said ABC President Kim Godwin.
Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez will take over their position until the company revokes the removal of T.J. Holmes and Amy.
