Brandon Smiley, the son of Rickey Smiley Morning Show host, passed away. Smiley made this announcement on his social media account, stating,
“I just had bad news this morning. I’m on the way to the airport to get to Birmingham. I just want everybody to pray for me, pray for our family. “My son, Brandon Smiley, has passed away this morning. ” The cause of Brandon Smiley’s death was not specified by his father. Though Rickey Smiley must be deeply saddened by the news, he ensured that he is doing alright. “I’m OK. Pray for my son’s mother and my son’s siblings,” he said.
He also expressed the misfortunate position he is in, as a parent losing his child. Rickey compared the loss and the pain his grandfather must have encountered during the instance of his father’s death. “Now I see what my granddaddy went through and why he felt the way he felt. My granddaddy went through this s–t with my dad and somehow, here I am going through the same thing my grandparents went through. So just pray for our family.” The loss for him as a parent is irreplaceable. In the video he posted, he was getting ready to leave to pay his last respects to his son.
