Acclaimed Hollywood actor Tom Sizemore passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was hospitalized following a brain aneurysm, when he collapsed at his home in Los Angeles, on the 18th of February. The actor was 61.
Charles Lago, Tom’s manager, confirmed his death. The actor is well-known for his roles in the military action movies, Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan in which he acted as second-in-command for Captain Miller (played by Tom Hanks). His brother, Paul Sizemore, along with Tom’s twin boys, was at the actor’s side. His family and friends are devastated by his death. Lago has stated that there is going to be a cremation service that will be held privately.
Apart from acting, Thomas Edward Sizemore was also popular for his wit and story-telling talents. Following the stroke, which caused the brain aneurysm, Tom had been in a coma. His family and loved ones had already been discussing “end-of-life” matters after doctors stated there was no hope for Tom’s recovery.
Natural Born Killers, Pearl Harbor, and Heat were the other top-rated movies in which Tom Sizemore played prominent roles. In his acting career that spanned over 30 years, Tom has acted in as many as 230 roles.
