Ryan Philippe, 49 years old Hollywood star celebrates his milestone in sobriety journey.
Lately, he revealed the “clarity and connectedness” he felt after giving up on drugs and nicotine.
The actor captioned on his Instagram page saying “Officially the longest I’ve gone since I was a teen without some kind of nicotine or marijuana in my system(among other things…).” He continued that he was feeling grateful for the freedom that comes with breaking addiction and dependency on substances.
Recently he updated an image on Instagram wearing a white tank top, aviator sunglasses, and having a toothpick in his mouth. He quoted “only remaining addictions are toothpicks and self-improvement.” He opened up about how exercise and medication relieved him from depression.
A few years back he explained how depression was a “huge obstacle” during his childhood.
He went on saying “As you get older I think it decreases some, but I’m just innately kind of a sad person.”
Ryan believes sharing thoughts and feelings could help each other cope and give some ideas to learn along the way.
