It is so disturbing to see that someone like Graham Kay gets to go out in public considering his criminal record. The 66-year-old was behind bars for a whole 18 years before he was released from jail in 2015. He was accused of raping eight women by threatening them with a knife over a course of few years in the 1990s. Graham, whose ill behavior knows no bounds, assaulted a teen girl whom he tried to kiss forcefully. This led him to serve an extra 4 months of imprisonment and the judgment was something that could have been reconsidered. The rapist was set free was handed a 15-month good behavior bond and was set free.
“I’m not satisfied that a sentence of imprisonment for that conduct which is brief in duration, spontaneous in nature…is necessary.”, said Magistrate Tim Keady. Though he will be under electronic monitoring, letting a rapist like him is a serious threat to the society.
