It’s official, people. Brooklyn nine-nine to get a new season.
Producers at NBC continue to have faith in the beloved comedy after the network announced on Wednesday that it has renewed Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a seventh season.
NBC rescued the popular low-rated comedy starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher after it was axed infamously by Fox last May. Not just that, but also boosted it to 18 episodes from 13.
In a statement, Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, NBC Co-Presidents, said: “It’s been one of our great joys as a network to give Brooklyn Nine-Nine a second life.
The show stars Andy Samberg, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Andre Braugher, and Joe Lo Truglio. Chelsea Peretti left the series during the early episodes of the current season and will return in a guest appearance.
We have a video of the team receiving the news to their utmost joy and excitement.
In true #Brooklyn99 fashion, we waited 9 seconds to tell them the good news. 😏 We’re coming back, y’all!
