Miss North Carolina Cheslie Kryst– a full-time attorney – was crowned Miss USA 2019 during the pageant in Reno, Nevada Thursday night. Alejandra Gonzalez of New Mexico was the first-runner up and Oklahoma’s Triana Browne the second-runner up during the competition.
As an attorney, the 28-year old represents prison inmates for free won among a diverse range of participants, that included teachers, nurses and members of the military. The attorney beat 50 contestants to nab the coveted title at the 68th annual competition.
