Every bride’s dream is to look like a princess at her wedding. Billionaire oil heiress Ivy Getty embraced a mirrored wedding gown to her ceremony on Thursday. Getty tied the knot with Tobias Engel in an enticing dress designed by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. The ceremony was hosted by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and actress Anya Taylor-Joy who became the maid of honor.
The 26-year-old model is a great-granddaughter of billionaire oil tycoon J Paul Getty. She married a well-known photographer at City Hall in San Francisco this weekend. For her big day, she opted for a charming four-layered gown featuring broken mirror pieces. Her veil was decorated with walnuts to commemorate her grandmother, who grew walnuts on the farm. She picked an aquamarine choker at the reception.

This high-profile wedding has many famous faces, including “The Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy as maid of honor. Galliano told Vogue’s Alexandra Macon, “A big percentage of the dress is a real mirror, but because she has to walk in it, we created a substance that would evoke real mirror but weigh considerably less,” further added, “the fragments are linked together with wire, like jewelry.”
The model was posted on Instagram on Monday. She praised Galliano and Maison Margiela” for making the two most beautiful wedding gowns I have ever laid eyes on.”
