Keely Shaye Smith is an American journalist and author, who has experience in acting, TV presenting, and modeling. She was a gardening expert for ABC’s Good Morning America and an environmental correspondent for ABC’s The Home Show. She also acted as an entertainment correspondent for the Today Show and Entertainment Tonight.

In 1994, the couple first met at a beach party in Mexico. When she started talking to Pierce, Keely was there to interview Cheers actor, Ted Danson. In 2001, the couple married in Pierce’s native Ireland, at Ballintubber Abbey in Country Mayo, in front of 100 guests.
