Warner Bros. announced that Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice is getting a new sequel 35 years after the original film’s release. The new sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, will make its theater debut on September 6, 2024, in the US. Fans are excited to see the news of this movie. What is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice About?

The storyline follows an adult Lydia and her daughter. They run into difficulties with Beetlejuice and the world of the dead. The trailer specifies a fairly good picture of the movie. However, the director hasn’t given much information about the plot.

Who is in the Cast?

Several original cast members can be seen in the sequel too. Who are they? Winona Ryder, as Lydia Deetz, and Michael Keaton, play the lead roles in this film. Apart from that, Jenna Ortega will act as Astrid Deetz, Lydia’s daughter. This is her second collaboration with Burton because they worked together on a Netflix series, Wednesday, before. 

 

Burton told Entertainment Weekly, “I so identified with the Lydia character. But then you get to all these years later, and you take your own journey, going from cool teenager to lame adult, back and forth again. That made it emotional, gave it a foundation. So that was the thing that really truly got me into [doing the sequel].”

Trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Warner Bros. released the first trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in March 2024. The one-minute clip starts with Ortega’s character, Astrid, riding her bike through the winter lake. She also joins her mother and grandmother for her grandfather’s funeral. The second official trailer released in July 2024 revealed that Lydia asked Beetlejuice to save her daughter from the afterlife.
