An Insight on Gregory Peck’s Life story!

One of the remarkable actors in Hollywood history is Gregory Peck. His rich characters spoke volumes on his behalf especially the part which he played in the “Atticus Finch to kill a mockingbird.”

Hailing from La Jolla CA he pursued his pre-med at the University of California in Berkley. His passion for acting began in his college days and he soon shifted to New York to pursue his acting career after his Medical studies. He joined the Neighborhood Playhouse in scholarship under the remarkable tutor Sanford Meisner.

His films brought him laurels with several nominations for prestigious awards and one such was the Oscars for Best actor as Atticus Finch. He went on to some of the notable movies such as Roman Holiday and so on.

He made his first Broadway appearance at the Morning Star but it was not much appreciated rather got critically acclaimed. Peck went on to tie the knot with Greta kukkonen and he had 3 children. He later separated in 1954 and went on to marry in Veronique Passani in 1955.

He went on to do several do films in different genres and some of the best includes “1962 noir classic Cape Fear, popular horror film The Omen, MacArthur (1977), The Boys from Brazil (1978), The Sea Wolves (1980) and Other People’s Money (1980) and so on.”

After retiring from films he jumped to television where he kept showcasing his talents as a performer. Apart from films he had excelled in other activities where he received the “Presidential Medal of Freedom for Humanitarian Efforts in 1969 from the then President Lyndon Johnson and Kennedy Center Honors in 1991 and the Greatest Male Stars of All Time from American Film Institute in 1999.”

Peck passed away in the year 2003 after suffering from bronchopneumonia in his LA residence.
