The Maleficent actress is in talks to star in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals, a superhero team adventure movie.
Though she has starred in a comic book adaptation in Mark Millar’s Wanted (2007), this will be her first stint as a superhero. The character she’s gonna play is still under wraps.
The Eternals are a fictional species of humanity making its first appearance appearing in 1976 published by Marvel Comics. They are described as an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth and considered to be defenders of Earth, protecting Earth from their destructive counterparts, Deviants.
The movie will be directed by Chloe Zhao and scripted by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
