Apple Announces ‘self Service Repair’ That Can Repair Iphones
Apple allows users to fix their own devices! The company recently announced on Wednesday about the ‘Self Service Repair’ program, which lets users complete their own repairs through a new online store mainly launched for parts and tools.
This incredible service is first available for iPhone 12 and 13 lineups. Later, it will be available for Mac computers that have M1 chips. Next year, this self-repair service is available in the United States and will soon be available in many other countries by 2022. Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, mentioned in a statement that “Creating greater access to Apple genuine parts gives our customers even more choice if a repair is needed.”
Previously, Apple has provided repair tools and replacement parts to its 5000 Apple-authorized service providers. The company also approved 2,800 independent repair stores that have Apple-certified specialists. The company’s initial part of the program will concentrate on the most commonly serviced modules, including battery, display, and camera. The additional repairs will be launched next year. It is important to read the Repair Manual before customers perform the repairing activity. Customers will soon be allowed to place orders for the Apple original parts and tools through the Apple Self Service Repair online store. Customers who exchange/return the old or used parts for recycling will get credit during their purchase. The new shop will provide over 200 individual parts and tools, helping users to finish the most common repairs on iPhone 12 and 13.

After a week of legal feud against Apple and its norms of App Store, Epic has now given us a sneak peek of the fight of the firms where it all started.
Now Apple came out with proofs where it showed a set of mails from Epic chief executive Tim Sweeney where he is seen asking Apple’s high profile officials to free from Fortnite for its discount of 30% and permit it to cater its own mobile app store.
Starting from June the mails have a brief conversation between Tim and Apple prior to when Epic tried to implement another payment gateway in the Fortnite app which ended them exiting from Apple in the previous week.
The mails saw Tim trying to making a deal with Apple for the right to have this choice for months prior and also asking Apple to widen their option to all iOS developers.
One of the mail from Sweeney stated: “If Epic were allowed to provide these options to iOS device users, consumers would have an opportunity to pay less for digital products and developers would earn more from their sales,” and “We hope that Apple will also make these options equally available to all iOS developers in order to make software sales and distribution on the iOS platform as open and competitive as it is on personal computers.”
