Greta Gerwig says she was “frustrated” by being called as Noah Baumbach’s muse.
Gerwig and Baumbach co-wrote the script of Fances Ha a black&White American comedy movie which hit the theatres in 2012
In a recent interview the 36-year-old actress, writer and director recalled her frustration over being called as Noah Bambuch’s muse after Frances Ha hit the theatres in 2012.
“I remember being very frustrated by that and wanting to correct it,” Gerwig said
Gerwig started dating Bambuch, now 50 since they started working together for the movie in 2011 which led to speculations that she got into the film industry through Bambach. The multi-faceted actress said, “But the answer is: yes, of course, for so many reasons. But he’s also this incredibly important collaborator and influence on me. The most important,” she said.”But I think I was hell-bent on making my own films, so I would have done it anyway.”
The couple is working together again for the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie. After Frances Ha (2012) and Mistress America (2015), this is the third movie for which they are writing the script together. “Working with Baumbach remains an enjoyable experience” She acknowledges.
