Betty White, the Hollywood legend and self-described “lucky old broad” died on Friday (December 31) on the last day of the year 2021. Betty White was about to step into her 100th birthday and her eight-decade-long career. Betty White was a famous American actress and a comedian who is widely regarded as a famous movie star.
When it comes to her personal life, Betty White got married to Lane Allen in 1947, a Hollywood talent agent. But they got divorced in 1949 because he wanted a family but White wanted a career rather than children. Later in 1963, she got married to the famous television host Allen Ludden and became a stepmother to his three children, David, Martha, and Sarah.
This sweet actress had a long career that spanned more than eight decades. White is famously known as “lucky old broad” because of her sweetly sarcastic senior citizen characters on famous TV shows and movies such as “The Golden Girls,” “Boston Legal” and “Hot in Cleveland.”
Betty White died on Friday at her home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, due to natural causes. Top people like Joe Biden, Michelle Obama released a statement upon her death. Many other celebrities like Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullocks, Ellen DeGeneres, Andy Cohen, Kathy Griffin, Bob Iger were also paid tribute to her. As white had served in the army during World War II, the United States Army also gave its condolences.
