Brandin who plays for the Los Angeles Rams faced a concussion during his match against Bengals. Though he was taking his team ahead in the 1st quarter, the incident took place right after that and he was shifted to the locker room by the therapists.
The head injury was confirmed after examining and this is not the first time in this season. He had earlier gone through this when he played against the Seahawks but recovered quickly.
But as per the current situation, it is doubtful whether he will make it to the week 10 where the Rams will face the Steelers. Speaking to his Manager Sean Mcvay he stated that: “He’s feeling good. He’s very aware of what’s going on and he can talk about what occurred pre-concussion,” and “he’s aware … we are going to send him to a specialist. He’s actually on his way there in Pittsburgh. I’m trying to see if we can get a little bit more clarity, because most important is Brandin Cooks as a human being right now, not necessarily the football player. Let’s get a better idea of what’s exactly is going on so that we can at least make the best decision for him moving forward. Hopefully, being able to do that will give us some answers we’ll find more information about that.”
Further reports state that: “Cooks has suffered several concussions in his career, including two this season and one last year. He also left Super Bowl LII with a concussion while playing for the Patriots, making this his fourth in less than two calendar years.”
Looks like Brandin must ensure to take care of his health on a longer run.
