British Prime Minister Theresa May resigns!

Amid protests and furor, British Prime Minister Theresa May has decided to step down as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom today.

In a tear-jerking speech, British Prime Minister apologized for Brexit. She broke down and stated it was an honor serving as the Prime Minister of the UK. She will remain the Prime Minister until a new leader is selected, probably by the end of July. She will quit as Conservative leader on 7 June for a new prime minister to come into power.

Her stepping down as PM received a mixed response with one section of the people lambasting her for her incapabilities and the other group admiring her for her administrative prowess so far.

Theresa May is right to resign. She’s now accepted what the country’s known for months: she can’t govern, and nor can her divided and disintegrating party.

Whoever becomes the new Tory leader must let the people decide our country’s future, through an immediate General Election.

Her resignation has left a huge power void and Britain would want a strong leader to steer out of burning issues, most importantly Brexit, that’s on everyone’s mind.
