The Die Hard actor, Bruce Willis, who was initially diagnosed with aphasia, seems to have a clearer identification of his condition, with his family revealing frontotemporal dementia. The family aims as doing their best for Bruce to “live as full a life as possible. The focus for Bruce is to keep him active. He has a busy schedule with activities every day. They make sure both his body and brain is exercised,”says the sources.

According to sources, Bruce’s wife Emma wants this for her husband, “the family is all closer than ever. She wants them to remember Bruce as an amazing, fun dad. She wants them to have the best memories of him.”

The recent announcement of Bruce’s diagnosis said, “since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”

Frontotemporal dementia has a major impact on the affected person’s speech patterns and comprehending in communication. The statement continued saying, “Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

There has been an update about the health of Die Hard actor Bruce Willis’s health, who was diagnosed with aphasia. His wife Emma Heming Willis disclosed his recent diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and their gratitude towards the care that people are expressing. She said, “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis. In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.”

According to the family, Bruce Willis was secretly fighting aphasia for a while and he had to step away from his acting career in order to tend to the treatments. He was having issues with his cognitive abilities due to aphasia and it is no longer viable for the legendary actor to continue his acting profession.

Bruce Willis Quits Acting At 67 After Aphasia Diagnosis

Bruce Willis’s daughter Rumer Willis wrote on Instagram yesterday that “As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up,’ and together we plan to do just that.”

All five daughters of Bruce Willis Rumer Willis, Tallulah Willis, Scout Willis, Mabel Willis, and Evely Willis signed the Instagram post. The actor had three daughters with his wife Demi Moore and two daughters with Emma Heming Willis. The entire family was very close and blended in recent years and in fact, they were quarantined together during the Pandemic lockdown in 2020.

The news saddened millions of his fans and followers of Bruce Willis and many started pouring their wishes for the actor to get well sooner. Aphasia is caused by brain damage where the affected experiences language disorder making the ability to communicate harder.
