Captain America Came to the rescue of Concord Theatre Group

The Marvel superhero helped his childhood theatre company ‘Concord Theatre Group’ to secure a permanent home after years of struggle. He shared the limelight with his mother ‘Lisa Evans’ is the executive director of the theatre. Kay DeFord, founding director of the theatre shared the warmth of the event where Chris Evans cut the ribbon and promoted the ceremony to a crowd assembled outside the theatre,

“It was a home away from home, a place to feel safe, to take risks and explore what would ultimately be my career. We didn’t think we were going to Broadway,” he added. “We thought this was Broadway. Every role felt like it was Broadway, like it was the most important role in the world. Massachusetts has always been a really solid representative of the arts, in theater and beyond,” he explained. “Now that we have a place where we can lay down some roots, I’m just excited to see it grow and affect generations to come the way it affected me.”

He shared the above statement as he dressed in a Red Sox cap and a blue cable-knit sweater.
