Charges against Jussie Smollett dropped!

Weeks after the furor over Jussie Smollett staging a hate crime, victimizing himself in the incident, he was cleared of all wrong-doing on Tuesday.

The actor and his lawyers appeared in a Chicago court this Tuesday, March 26, where he was facing 16 felony counts of lying to police in his alleged racial and homophobic attack.

Jussie’s attorney added that Smollett is “relieved to have this situation behind him and is very much looking forward to getting back to focusing on his family, friends and career.”

A lot of twists and turn took place in the incident below ever since he was charged for staging the incident On Jan. 29, 2019 where Jussie Smollett claimed that he was attacked by two white men around 2 AM, with one of them, shouting racist slurs before the two assailants fractured Smollett’s rib, tied a rope around his neck, and poured bleach on him.

His antics backfired when law enforcement began speculating that Smollett paid up two brothers to orchestrate the said attack pointing to the video evidence obtained before.

In a press conference after his court appearance, Smollett spoke out to fans saying “Hey, everybody,” he began. “First of all, I want to thank my family, my friends, the incredible people of Chicago, and all over the country and the world who have prayed for me, who have supported me, who have shown me so much love. No one will ever know how much that’s meant to me and I will be forever grateful. I want you to know not for a moment was it in vain. I’ve been truthful and consistent on every single level since day one.”
