Though several countries have succeeded in several missions to the Moon, China’s Chang’e-4 stands out for its ability to cover the unexplored area on the far side that’s not facing the Earth. The automated space vehicle touched down the South Pole-Aitken Basin, one of the oldest structures ever formed on the surface of the Moon.
With the help of an associate satellite, the pictures and data collected by Chang’e-4 will be telecasted for study.
The several goals of China’s Moon Mission include analyzing the geology of the Moon’s structure, studying the rocks, and experimenting radio astronomy. With not missions focus on the farther side of the Moon, it is a big leap from China to have crossed boundaries.
