Former ‘Bachelor’ couple Clayton Echard and Susie Evans announced their split up on Instagram this Friday.
The couple posted a picture which holds happy faces of Clayton and Susie, with the caption, “With incredibly heavy hearts, we wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways. For anyone who has ever loved, knows this was a painful decision to make and not one taken lightly,” with a joint statement.
Both Clayton and Susie didn’t detail the reason behind their break-up but conveyed that social media is a ‘highlight reel’ and the couple had gone through heavy pain in the last year and so this decision was not taken lightly.
Echard and Evans also added, “We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we’ve realized that we were not prepared for the external forces that hindered our ability to not only heal as individuals but also as a couple. We both are focused on continuing to work on ourselves, so we can be the best version of ourselves.”
Echard,29, in August revealed a bit about their relationship stating, “We’re like, ‘We don’t know if it’s going to be a month-long [relationship] from here or if it’s gonna be lifetime but, like, there’s no pressure,” he told in an interview.
On the other hand, Evans, 29, in March said on Nick Viall’s podcast that she would say no to a proposal from her then-boyfriend Clayton.
