Known for being one of the best dressed globally, Deepika Padukone has now joined as the fleet of Louis Vuitton models for pre-fall 2020 promotions. The creative head Nicolas Ghesquière who is versatile in casting new and different faces has now chosen the actress along with 23 other girls and boys.
The Bollywood diva will be a part of Louis Vuitton’s version of pulp horror flicks and books. Deepika will be in the rendition of “Don’t Turn Around’, a fiction thriller by Michelle Gagnon.”
Post her talks with Nicolas Deepika stated that: “I’ve been a huge fan of his work and I was curious and looking forward to meeting him. He turned out to be one of the kindest and of course, the creativity is there for everyone to see but beyond that, I think his gentleness is really what I took back with me.”
She was seen wearing a checkered black and white dress paired up with a grey overcoat, mini belt and rounded off with green quilted boots. She is seen showing off a glimpse of evil in the Ghesquière’s campaign first banner.
Padukone added saying: “It’s almost a dark secret. You feel like you know this person but you also feel like there is a lot of mystery to it. And while the image looks a certain way, behind the scenes we were laughing and having a lot of fun. That made that entire experience exciting, interesting and unique.”
To be a part of such a huge fashion brand internationally is a sign of India’s craves for luxury brands amidst people. Deepika will be seen with celebrities like Sophie Turner, Léa Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, Chloë Grace Moretz and so on.
On being a part of the progressions of fashion she says: “It progresses in a way, [but this is] something that should have happened a long time ago. I feel proud that I am being considered as one of the people at the forefront of that change. One needs to commend the iconic brand in making this sort of historic move.”
