Certain cult hits are not meant to be touched. You wouldn’t wanna drag them from halls of nostalgia and try reviving it with a half-baked modern adaptation.
The Big Lebowski is one such movie.
At its time, The Big Lebowski was a sleeper hit, skyrocketing Jeff Bridges to fame. He painted the perfect picture of an easy-going man stuck in a mid-life crisis. And the only thing that seemed to interest him was Bowling.
Do we even need a sequel of The Big Lebowski?
The sequel features a character from Coen brothers classic namely Jesus Quintana played by John Turturro. He’s going to star in a spin-off movie by the name Going Places, a Comedy that releases him out of Prison after being framed as a pedophile.
“It’s a bit of a racy movie. It shows how stupid men are. That’s what the movie is kinda about – the women are the stronger, more together characters”, he said.
Is ‘The Dude’ gonna appear in the movie?
It is a disappointment that no other characters from the original movie are going to appear in the movie, though reports suggest that there’s a small cameo by Jeff Bridges in the movie.
The movie also stars Audrey Tatou, Bobby Cannavale and Susan Sarandon.
