Estonia one of the islands in Europe has been named by the people as ‘Corona Island’ after the pandemic outbreak has hit hard on them.
Initially, Corona patients were found on the island of Saaremaa which occurred last month when a team of players had visited from Italy.
Sources say that almost 50% of the population has been affected by COVID-19.

Currently, about 1400 cases are positive as per Estonia Health Board. Out of 33,967 cases, 147 are in hospitalized and 11 are in serious condition. Besides this, 37 have died and 117 have recovered.
The government of the island issued an emergency on March 12th and shut its borders on the 17th of March.
One of the expertise an Estonian in Spain named Evelin Kallisar stated that her loved ones are completely quarantined as per the government had ordered as the virus has been spreading like wildfire.
As of the latest report several healthcare workers have been tested positive at the Kuressaare medical center. 90 percent of the cases are in the west part of the island and few in the north which includes dentists, general physicians, nurses, and other medical workers.
