The 74th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards was a big night for HBO and Netflix as the streaming services bagged the most wins during the ceremony.
HBO/HBO MAX dominated the night with a combined 25 wins, thanks to Euphoria and The White Lotus. It is closely followed by Netflix with 23 wins overall, with Stranger Things securing the most wins for the service.
Netflix’s Stranger Things, HBO/HBO MAX’s Euphoria, The White Lotus, CBS’ Adele: One Night Only, and Disney+’s The Beatles: Get Back hold the honor of most wins, with five each.
These shows are also the front-runners leading to the Primetime Emmy show on September 12, Monday.
Netflix’s Arcane and Squid Game fell closely behind with four wins each. Hulu’s comedy series Only Murders in the Building surprised with three wins, including Nathan Lane’s first Emmy win.
Former US President Barack Obama won an Emmy for the Narrator prize for Netflix’s Our Great National Parks, becoming the second US president to win an Emmy.
The late Chadwick Boseman bagged a Character Voice-Over Performance for Disney+’s What If? It was also Chadwick’s final appearance in the MCU before his unexpected death.
