One of the executives of the popular “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” rubbished speculations of the show getting canceled post its employees accused of a deadly work environment.
Speaking on this Andy Lassner took to his twitter stating: “Nobody is going off the air,” who co-produces the show from 2003. This comes after one of his followers said that the show host Ellen might be cut off.
Previously Andy said in a funny statement that he has his finger crossed to the see this year “turn around and start getting better” but sadly 2020 had unexpected events after Ellen faces misbehavior accusations last month.
Many of the employees at Ellen said that they went through racial inequality, fear, and threats while working.
Post the accusations, Andy and the other two executive producers Ed Galvin and Mary Connely stated that: “they were heartbroken and sorry to learn that even one person in our product family has had a negative experience.”
Ed has axed out from the staffer’s accusation and is said to leave the show.
As per sources Ellen had spoken on the allegations and expressed her apology to her employees in a letter stating:
“On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ would be a place of happiness ― no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect,” DeGeneres wrote. “Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show.”
She also said that an inquiry will be conducted on the accusations and emphasized that: that this does not happen again.”
