Popular restaurant in New York City La Cubana’s owner Carl Ruiz passed away. The news broke out on Sunday and an insider from the restaurant denied to speak about this and said as “Sudden.”
Further, it was stated: “No words can fully express our sadness at the sudden loss of our dear friend and brother.”
Ruiz was a prominent name amongst the food industry and has judged various events. His recent venture was La Cubana which was opened in Meatpacking District in New York.
People started paying homage on Sunday were one of his pals Alex Guarnaschelli told that he was a “protective, consoling, prudent, reckless, brilliant, wickedly funny & unique all in 1.”
She further added: “My life will be lonelier without him,” she expressed her grief. “Love you, Carl. I’ll make sure no one puts pineapple on pizza best I can without you here.”
Besides, Guy Fieri of the Food Network “Diners Drive-Ins and Dives” shared that he was in a state of shock when he heard about the news. He also said that: “Am heartbroken to explain what an amazing friend he was to us.”
“His ability to make me laugh and smile under any circumstances was only outshined by his talent as a chef.”
Apart from this Matt Farah an automotive reporter and host of “The Smoking Tire,” stated that: he is “absolute legend.” His succulent food, his strength, acquaintance, brilliance, wittiness, and deliverance were all extraordinary tweeted and “The world is darker without him.”
