Germany legalizes third gender identity!

Germany now joins the club of several other countries that have addressed the third gender identity by passing a law that helps people belonging to the intersex community to mention their category as diverse in official documents including birth certificates, and passports.

This is a great initiative in favor of people who do not fit the biological definition of both male and female. With a supporting doctor’s certificate, the third gender identity can easily be established instead of leaving the space blank wherever required.

In fact, the U.N. encourages other countries to bring in similar laws with its stats that reveal nearly 1.7% of the world’s population are both with intersex traits-about the same number of people with red hair. Now that definitely needs big applause!
