Here Are Some Exciting Facts about the New Miss Universe

Do you know the current Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu was born in the same year as the last Indian title winner Lara Dutta? India has won its third Miss Universe title after 21 years and here are some more surprising facts.

The 70th coveted pageant was held in Eilat, Israel. Sandhu was born in Punjab, India. She did her under-graduation and post-graduation in Chandigarh. The Diva is currently pursuing a Masters’ degree in Public Administration and is also taking up a lead role in a Punjabi movie at present.

Harnaaz Sandhu, the Miss Universe title winner of 2021 has been competing in beauty pageants since she was 17 and has won several of them. Miss Chandigarh 2017, Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018, and Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 were her most notable achievements.

She stood in the top 12 of the Femina Miss India competition in 2019. The star will reside in New York to attend global events. Ms. Sandhu said, “I am immensely grateful to the Almighty, my parents, and the Miss India Organization for guiding and supporting me throughout. Loads of love to everyone who prayed and wished the crown for me,“.

The girl in the champagne dress did steal the show with her mind-blowing answer for the final question on what advice she would give to young women on how to deal with the pressure they face today.

“The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves, to know that you are unique and that’s what makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. This is what you need to understand. Come out, speak for yourselves because you are the leader of your life, you are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that’s why I am standing here today,”

The selection committee included actor and Miss Diva Universe India 2015 Urvashi Rautela,  Adriana Lima,  Cheslie Kryst, Adamari López, Iris Mittenaere, Lori Harvey, Marian Rivera, and Rena Sofer.
