Harry Styles finally addressed the elephant in the room, joking about the viral ‘spit show’ that stirred up the already heightened drama of “Don’t Worry Darling.”
Following the high amount of awkwardness among the cast at the Venice International Film Festival, Styles went for his scheduled performance for his “Love On Tour: Madison Square Garden Is Harry’s House” concert.
The “As It Was” singer addressed the thousands of fans and later brought up the so-called ‘spitting’ incident that went viral this week. “I just popped over to Venice to spit on Chris Pine but fear not, we’re back!” Styles joked, earning screams and cheers from the crowd.
Earlier, a rep of Chris Pine denied the incident surrounding the “Wonder Woman” actor and “Late Night Talking” singer at the Venice International Film Festival that took over social media. The footage shows Styles seemingly spitting on Pine as he is about to sit next to the actor.
“Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine,” the rep said, adding that the claims were “a ridiculous story” and “a complete fabrication.”
The drama doesn’t just end there. There are several rumored dramas between “Don’t Worry Darling” director Olivia Wilde and the female lead Florence Pugh, with many believing Pugh was not content with Wilde and her co-star Styles’ relationship.
The thriller from the drama-filled crew hits theaters on September 23.
