We all know that former President of the United States, Barack Obama is known as the people’s president for a reason. He certainly knows the tunes to move the people very well. The 44th President of the United States has some eclectic taste in music, ranging from classic rock staples like Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones to contemporary hip-hop artists like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.

There’s even a little bit of country thrown in there with artists like Willie Nelson and John Prine. No matter what your taste in music is, there’s something for everyone on Obama’s playlist. He made a lot of people’s entire day better by sharing his favorite things on Twitter. The former president tweeted today the annual list of his favorite songs of the year, and it’s safe to say that he seems to have eclectic and all-encompassing tastes.

“Music has always played an important role in my life — and that was especially true during my presidency,” Obama wrote in the tweet. “In honor of my book hitting shelves tomorrow, I put together this playlist featuring some memorable songs from my administration. Hope you enjoy it.”

“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year,” Obama tweeted. “If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a trick or two in here that does the trick.”
