Movie Review: In Between (2022) – Tragic Supernatural Love Story!

Is there a force in this universe that could bend a man’s heart immersed in love to just walk away? Nope, even a tragic demise can’t tear him an inch apart, I’d say! Can a woman let go of the love of her life a moment after falling into its deep waters? That too without a goodbye or a closure? Absolutely No Way!

Just these humane traits vested inside of us isn’t enough to prove that the movie isn’t a supernatural love story, it’s all-natural and alrighty?

It’s tragic, heartbreaking, and breaks the farthest wounds open but it’s all worth it to get swayed emotionally IN BETWEEN the rollercoaster ride and smooth tides of the sea. The charisma of the actors and the enigmatic yet convincing depth of the characters did wonders.

The movie was stretched for twenty more minutes just to let you sink in more to the script and never let you hold that against it. The love story IN-BETWEEN circles around a hurt teenage girl Tessa (Joey King) who lost her lover Skylar (Kyle Allen) in a tragic car accident. Tessa’s childhood itself is a tragic one where she was bouncing between foster homes convincing her that she doesn’t deserve true love in her lifetime. Skylar is a real romantic who knew the doors to her heart and Boom, a big tragedy strikes them at the same exact moment she lets him in fully. A car accident takes Skylar’s life and sends Tessa to a hospital just to survive and realize all the emptiness and unimaginable wounds. She soon discovers that she’s not the only one who’s dwelling around the answers in the aftermath of the accident but Skylar too. He’s trying to reconnect with her from the afterworld. It’s Tessa with her best friend Shannon (Celeste O’Connor) who puts her life on the line and finds a way to meet Skyler one last time.

To wrap it up in a line, the movie is an original and deep enough to melt a rock-solid heart!
