Upset about not getting enough likes on social media posts? Do you know who is the culprit behind this? You have to blame the brown egg for snatching the likes from you!
The photo of a brown egg was posted three years ago by an anonymous user under a bizarre Instagram handle named ‘World_Record_Egg’. Befitting to its name the egg has stood first in the Guinness book of records as the most-liked post on Instagram.
The brown egg post currently has 55.5 million likes which are far more than any celebrity has managed to achieve in the past three years. The internet is a strange place because apart from likes, the post has 3.4 million comments and 4.8 million followers. Plus, the numbers are still climbing.

Apart from the image of the brown egg, the handle also had two videos that were posted in 2020 but they are deleted as of now. The bio of the handle holds the name Eugene and the weirdest detail of all is that the account does not follow anybody!
The egg surpassed the record Kylie Jenner had set in 2018 after she posted the very first image of Stormi. While netizens are happy that somebody defeated the Kardashian-Jenner clan’s record, nobody knows how the egg became viral until this date.
